Conference Highlights:
For the first time, "Organoids and Organ-on-a-Chip" have been written into the national "15th Five-Year Plan," marking a strategic opportunity for life sciences and medicine. In March 2026, the "Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China (Draft)" was officially released. In the frontier research direction of "Life Sciences and Biotechnology," it explicitly listed "Organoids and Organ-on-a-Chip" alongside gene editing, molecular precision delivery, and cell programming as key national tasks, requiring the advanced deployment of major national science and technology projects oriented towards 2035. Since May 1, 2026, the "Regulations on the Management of Clinical Research and Clinical Transformation Application of New Biomedical Technologies" has been officially implemented, marking the first establishment of a systematic and comprehensive legal management system in China's frontier technology fields such as stem cells, immune cells, gene editing, and regenerative medicine.
