I. Exhibition Overview
The wire and cable market in the Chongqing region is substantial. According to statistics, the current annual market sales are approximately 80 billion RMB. The market is mainly distributed in urban construction, transportation engineering, the energy industry, and other fields. Wire and cable are essential basic materials for transmitting electrical energy, conveying information, and manufacturing various motors, electrical appliances, instruments, automobiles, machine tools, and machinery. They are necessary basic products in an electrified and information-based society, serving as the "blood vessels" and "nerves" of the national economy, playing an indispensable and important role in national economic and social construction.
As a base for electronics, manufacturing, automobiles/motorcycles, and ships in China, and with the construction and promotion of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin City Economic Circle, Chongqing is located at the intersection of the "Belt and Road" and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is the starting point of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, possessing unique advantages in connecting the Southwest and Northwest, and communicating between East Asia and Southeast Asia/South Asia. The region has excellent ecological endowments, abundant energy and mineral resources, densely distributed towns, and diverse landscapes. It is the most densely populated, industrially strongest, most innovative, broadest market space, and most open region in Western China, holding a unique and important strategic position in the overall national development. Large-scale construction projects in transportation, energy/coal mines, electric power, electronics, communications, real estate, and many other sectors are booming in Chongqing and the West. Chongqing's power grid renovation alone will invest 220 billion RMB in the next three years. During the "14th Five-Year Plan," with large-scale power grid construction such as "West-to-East Power Transmission," backbone grid voltage upgrade and expansion, and national networking, as well as the rapid development of networking renovations in communications and radio and television, the potential for Chongqing's wire and cable industrial market is immense.
Chongqing is located at the junction of China's central and western regions and is the only municipality directly under the Central Government in the central and western regions. It possesses the national-level Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the "Water Port + Air Port" dual-function Cuntan Bonded Port. Following Shanghai Pudong and Tianjin Binhai New Area, the state established the third national-level "Liangjiang New Area" in Chongqing. With the theme "Smart Green Leading the Upgrade," this exhibition is expected to cover an area of 20,000 square meters.
