◆Background:
In recent years, with the continuous improvement of global living standards and the deep popularization of outdoor leisure culture, the outdoor furniture industry is undergoing a profound transformation from a "functional accessory" to a "core carrier of lifestyle." This category, once dormant in the corners of courtyards and regarded as an optional accessory, has now leaped to a key force defining the quality of modern life, connecting people with nature, and reshaping urban public spaces with an unprecedented posture. After more than twenty years of development, China's outdoor furniture industry has built the world's most complete industrial ecosystem. In terms of output and export scale, China firmly ranks in the absolute first tier of global outdoor furniture production and export. Highly competitive industrial clusters have formed in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian, and other places, with products exported to major consumer markets such as Europe, North America, Australia, and the Asia-Pacific. However, huge manufacturing capacity has not simultaneously translated into equivalent brand premiums — the industry as a whole is still in the stage of "large but not strong," with the two ends of the value curve's smile — R&D design and brand marketing — still dominated by traditional European and American brands.
The profound fission of the demand side constitutes the fundamental plate of industry development. The consumption logic of outdoor furniture has fissionated from a single "durability" and "cost-effectiveness" to a diverse and complex pursuit of value. In the high-end market, consumers are willing to pay high premiums for unique design, scarce materials, craftsmanship heritage, and even brand stories, regarding outdoor furniture as inheritable courtyard artworks. In the mass market, especially the huge apartment resident group rising with urbanization, demand focuses on the ultimate utilization of small-scale spaces such as balconies and terraces. Lightweight, easy-to-fold, modular, and high aesthetic appeal have become core demands. Even more disruptive is the explosion of outdoor lifestyles such as camping and RV travel, which has spawned a brand-new category of "portable outdoor furniture." Its product logic is completely different from traditional courtyard furniture, emphasizing extreme lightness, compactness, and quick setup. This marks a comprehensive expansion of the application scenarios of outdoor furniture from a fixed "location" to a flowing "activity."
Currently, the outdoor furniture industry presents a significant "pyramid" competitive landscape. At the top of the pyramid are a few internationally renowned brands, which, relying on decades of brand accumulation and design discourse power, firmly occupy the high-end market and dominate the industry's aesthetic standards and pricing power. The body of the pyramid is represented by domestic leading enterprises such as Zhejiang Yongqiang and Landbond, which have strong competitiveness in the mid-to-high-end market and are accelerating their transformation from OEM to own brands. The base of the pyramid consists of a vast number of small and medium-sized enterprises, concentrating on fierce price competition in the low-end market. The industry as a whole presents the significant characteristics of a "large market, small enterprises." In terms of concentration, the industry is still highly fragmented. Although the market share of leading enterprises is increasing year by year, there is still a significant gap compared with mature European and American markets. This fragmented pattern indicates that the industry is still in a growth stage and also predicts huge space for future accelerated integration. In fact, in the past two years, industry concentration has shown a steady upward trend, and enterprises with brand power, design power, and channel power are accelerating the encroachment of the market share of small and medium-sized manufacturers.
China's outdoor furniture industry is standing at a historic turning point. The industry ecosystem presents distinct characteristics of diversified demand, innovative product design, and three-dimensional sales channels, but it also faces practical challenges such as raw material cost pressure, homogeneous competition, and environmental compliance. The triple leap from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing," from "OEM" to "brand," and from "functional products" to "lifestyle solutions" constitutes the main theme of industry development in the next five years. This exhibition will gather more than 500 brand enterprises and dozens of foreign exhibition groups from around the world to participate and visit. It covers relevant enterprises in the industry worldwide. The organizer possesses a professional operation team and huge data resources. Relying on recognition and praise within and outside the industry, the conference will more comprehensively integrate advantageous resources, extend the entire industrial chain, and is committed to providing a high-quality one-stop communication and trade platform for manufacturers, distributors, agents, purchasers, and end customers to boost the rapid development of the industry. We look forward to your participation in this exhibition.
