◆Exhibition Background:
When the ice sculptures of the Harbin Ice and Snow World sparkle in the minus twenty-degree cold wind, when the single-day reception volume of the Shenzhen Qianhai · Huafa Ice and Snow World exceeds 20,000, and when southern tourists experience the passion of skiing in the snowy mountain secret realms of the Western Sichuan Plateau—China's ice and snow industry is transforming from "cold resources" into a "hot engine" driving consumption upgrades at an astonishing speed. The rise of the ice and snow industry is inseparable from the strategic layout at the national level. Since the successful hosting of the 2015 Beijing Winter Olympics, the State Council, the General Administration of Sport, and other departments have intensively issued multiple policy documents, building an all-around support system ranging from infrastructure construction and industry standard formulation to consumer market cultivation. The "Several Opinions on Stimulating the Vitality of the Ice and Snow Economy through the High-Quality Development of Ice and Snow Sports," released in 2025, explicitly proposes that the total scale of the ice and snow economy will reach 1.2 trillion yuan by 2027 and exceed 1.5 trillion yuan by 2030, anchoring the goal for long-term industry growth.
With the improvement of domestic equipment technology capabilities, China's ice and snow industry is accelerating its integration into the global industrial chain. The competition in the ice and snow industry is essentially a contest of technological strength. In the past, core equipment such as high-end snowmaking machines and intelligent temperature control systems relied heavily on imports, and there was a gap between domestic equipment and international brands in terms of performance and stability. However, in recent years, with increased R&D investment and technological breakthroughs, domestic ice and snow equipment is accelerating its rise. Even more noteworthy is that in the outline of the "15th Five-Year Plan," the ice and snow industry has been given a higher strategic status. The outline proposes to "continuously consolidate and expand the results of 'driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports'" and implement the "Ice and Snow Tourism Improvement Plan," incorporating ice and snow tourism into the core areas of the national consumption strategy. This policy signal has directly promoted the upgrade of the ice and snow industry from a single sport to a composite model of "sports + culture & tourism + technology."
Southern cities are breaking through seasonal and geographical limitations through innovative forms such as indoor ski resorts and dry snow facilities, leading to a rapid increase in market penetration. Guangdong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, and other provinces have become the main growth poles of the southern ice and snow market. For example, Guangdong proposed to "cultivate fashionable leisure sports projects such as ice and snow," encouraging local cities to develop the ice and snow economy according to local conditions. Projects such as the Shenzhen Qianhai Ice and Snow World and the Guangzhou Sunac Snow World have become benchmarks for southern ice and snow consumption. Zhejiang has promoted a surge in the export of snowplows, snowmobiles, etc., by developing ice and snow equipment manufacturing, forming a dual drive of "equipment manufacturing + consumer market." Even more noteworthy is that the southern market is creating new scenarios for urban leisure through the "ice and snow + culture & tourism" model. Looking back from the vantage point of 2026, China's ice and snow industry has achieved a leap from the policy-guided initial stage to the high-quality development stage of scale expansion and structural optimization.
The integration of the ice and snow industry with fields such as culture & tourism, education, health, and technology will deepen, forming a composite ecosystem of "Ice and Snow + X." Against the backdrop of the "Dual Carbon" goals, the ice and snow industry will accelerate its green transformation. Energy-saving and environmentally friendly equipment and low-carbon operation models have become industry standards, and the proportion of renewable energy in venue energy supply is gradually increasing. The conference is expected to have an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, gathering 500 global brand enterprises and dozens of international exhibition groups. It covers relevant enterprises within the global industry scope. The organizer possesses a professional operation team and massive data resources. Relying on recognition and praise from inside and outside the industry, the conference will more comprehensively integrate advantageous resources, extend the entire industrial chain, and is committed to providing a high-quality one-stop communication and trade platform for manufacturers, distributors, agents, purchasers, and end customers, boosting the rapid development of China's ice and snow sports industry.
